What's really holding your business back? Usually it's the small thing nobody's checking. Not the big strategy. The one part everybody walks past because it's not on anybody's list.
I learned that at 17 in Navy search and rescue. I was the plane captain, the one who checked every part of the helicopter before the pilots ever walked out. One morning a seat buckle kept popping open, and it wasn't on the checklist. I grounded the aircraft, wouldn't sign my name, and told the captains and commanders I'd take it to the admiral if I had to.
In this episode of Between Us:
How to spot the problem nobody in your business is checking
Why you can't scale a business with a leak
How one company lost its name because one person kept turning customer requests away, and it wasn't the owner, the sales team or the product
Your move this week: change seats and look at your business from somebody else's chair
I'm Noël Tarquinii, the Consigliere. I've sat in the CEO, COO, CAO and CHRO seats, as a founder and as a partner. A consigliere is the one person you tell everything to. No agenda but yours. I see the whole board, and I tell you the truth before you move. The decision stays yours.
